Interviewing Jacopo Neri from The Green Papillon

 
¡Buenos días chicas! Os presento a este señor guapote directamente desde Italia. Descubrí su blog hace dos mesecillos que fue cuando lo empezó y me encantó su estilo, así que no podía dejar pasar la oportunidad de entrevistarle y enseñaros un poquito cómo es él. Espero que os guste la entrevista y no dudéis visitar su blog The Green Papillon ;)

Good morning you guys! Here he is, the beautiful Jacopo Neri, a blogger from Italy. I discovered his blog like two months ago and I loved his style, so I couldn't avoid to use the opportunity to interview him and show you a little bit how he is on the inside. 1- ¿Por qué te hiciste un blog? / Why did you create a blog? 

Realmente fue bastante simple. Después de mucho buscar cual hubiera sido mi satisfacción a todas mis pasiones y entretenimientos finalmente lo encontré. De verdad, este blog me satisface de muchas maneras, mi pasión por la moda, mi pasión y habilidad de pasar horas en el ordenador, mi pasión por leer, mi fuerte narcisismo (lo admito) y experiencia combinado con felicidad puedes ganar muchas nuevas amistades y conocer nuevas culturas.

Really quite simple. After years of research on what could have been a satisfaction to all my passions and entertainments I finally found it.  Indeed, this blog satisfy me under a lot of aspects, my passion for fashion, my desire and ability to spend hours at the pc, my desire to write, my strong narcissism ( I admit that ) and experience combined with happiness you can gain in meeting new people and cultures.

2- ¿Desde el inicio lo quisiste encaminar hacia el mundo de la moda? / 

Was doing a fashion blog your main purpose from the beginning?

Sí, lo quise crear cuando me di cuenta de lo que era capaz y lo que podría aportarme. Una forma de enriquecer mi vida.
 

Sure, I wanted to creat it when I just realized the instrument it was and what could have been for me. A way to enrich my life. 

 

3- ¿Cuánto tiempo llevas con el blog? ¿Crees que ha cambiado tu estilo desde que empezaste? / 

 How long have you been with your blog? Do you think your style has changed since you started it?

Abrí el blog el 17 de Marzo así que, es un poco pronto para responder esa pregunta en concreto pero sinceramente creo que me ha ayudado mucho a ampliar mi visión sobre el mundo de la moda.
 

My blog opened on the 17th of March so, it’s a bit soon to answer this question properly but I think it helped me so much to extend my outlook on the world of fashion. 

 

4- ¿En qué te inspiras? / What does inspire you?

Oh.. esta pregunta es un poco compleja. A decir verdad, hay muchas cosas y gente en la que me he inspirado. Una de ellas es cómo las mujeres miran a los hombres y después se sienten complacidos haciéndolo... Yo sólo intento tener otro punto de vista diferente, no sólo el masculino. La mujer es mi musa sobre todas las cosas. Cuando dibujo o pinto, cuando escribo y también cuando canto… básicamente cuando estoy creando algo. Adoro a las mujeres.

Oh.. this is a complex question. To say the truth, there are many things and people to whom I inspire. One among all it’s how women look at guys and are complacent in doing so.. I just try to  have a different point of view, not just a male one. The woman it’s my muse in everything. When I draw or paint, when I write and once when sang too.. so generally when I start creating something. I really love and like women. 

 

5- ¿Cómo definirías tu estilo? / How would you define your style?

No tengo ningún cliché específico, quiero decir, me encanta vestir elegante por encima de todo. Pero, ya sabes, siempre se premia un outfit callejero si está bien hecho. 

I don’t have any specific cliché, I mean, I really like to wear elegant more then other ways. But, you know, I really award an high street wear outfit too if well done.

 

6- ¿Qué consideras que es lo más importante en un blog de moda? / 

 What do you think is the most important thing in a fashion blog?

Se tu mismo, en todo lo que hagas. No intentes hacerlo todo por ti mismo. Es imposible.

Be yourself, as in anything else you do. Don’t try to do all by yourself. It’s impossible.

 

7- ¿Tienes algún/a blogger que te inspire al hacer tus looks? / Do you have any blogger who inspires you when you choose your outfits?

No

Noone.

 

8- Cuéntanos un momento de tu vida que jamás olvidarás / 

 Tell us a moment of your life that you'll never forget

Estoy en una época muy feliz de mi vida pero si realmente tuviera que decirte mi momento más feliz sería cuando me enamoro. 

This is a very happy period of my life but if I have to tell you about the happiest one I think I will surely talk about.. all the time I fall in love. 

9- ¿Tus familiares y amigos apoyan el hecho de que seas blogger? / 

 Do your relatives and friends support the fact of being a blogger?

¡Por supuesto! Pero, ya sabes, los amigos a veces también se rien de mi :)

Sure! but, you know, friends sometimes make fun of me too :)

 

10- ¿Cómo ves la figura de blogger, crees que ha evolucionado durante estos últimos años? /
 How do you see the figure of the blogger? Do you think it has changed during these last years? 

Por supuesto que he cambiado radicalmente. Yo era una especie de “nerd” hace unos años, así que estoy al tanto del perfil de un blogger. (De hecho, me encantaría jugar al Battlefield 4 en cuanto saliera!). De todos modos, años atrás, el hecho de ser blogger no existía o no era muy conocido – especialmente bloggers individuales. El primer blog de moda que nació y tuvo éxito era The Sartoralist; sin embargo, era un tipo diferente de blog en comparación con los que hay actualmente. Era estructuralmente diferente. The Sartoralist tenía más riqueza editorial. Ahora, más y más gente está motivada a abrir su blog por diferentes razones. Algunos utilizan su blog como un remedio terapéutico para las decepciones del día a día. Anteriormente, uno escribía para gratificarse a sí mismo; ahora, uno escribe y lo comparte con todo el mundo. Otros utilizan el blog para mostrar sus conocimientos sobre diferentes temas. Y también están esos que abren su blog para ganar beneficios. Mi punto de vista es, “Los blogs se están haciendo cada vez más críticos en la actualidad”. ¡No me gusta nada!

Sure has changed radically. I was sort of a “nerd” a few years ago, so I am painfully aware of the profile of a blogger. (Well, I used to love to play Battlefield 4 as soon as it was released!). Anyway, years ago, blogging didn’t exist or was not very common - specially, individual bloggers. The first blog (featuring fashion), which was born and had succeeded, was The Sartorialist; however, it was a different kind of blog from those that exist today. It was structurally different. The Sartorialist had a more editorial footprint. Now, more and more people are compelled to start a blog for various reasons. People now open blogs not just to feature their passion for a topic but for several reasons. Some use blogs as a sort of therapeutic remedy to life's disappointments. Once, a person would write only for their own gratification; now, one writes and shares it with the world. Others use blogs to declare themselves as the anointed connoisseurs of particular subjects. But then again, there are those who start blogs for profit. My own point of view is, "Blogs are becoming ever more critical in today's world." I don't like that! 

11- ¿Qué otra afición ocupa tus días/tu tiempo cuando no estás ocupada con el blog? /
 What other activities do you do when you aren't busy with your blog?

Estoy en la universidad. En mi tiempo libre me gusta practicar deportes, dibujar o pintar. Pero mi “actividad” preferida es beber con mis amigos :D

I just study my University course. In my spare time I really like to practice many sports or drawing, painting. But the “activity” I like the most is.. drinking too much with friends. :D

 
 

12- ¿Cuál es tu película favorita? ¿Y tú cantante o grupo favorito?/ What is your favorite film? Who is your favorite singer or band?

Te voy a decir mis 3 canciones favoritas. 1-La Dolce Vita - Federico Fellini. 2- The Snatch - Guy Ritchie. 3- Notting Hill - Roger Michell. El Rey del Pop es mi cantante preferido.

13- ¿Cuál es tu principal objetivo con el blog? / What is your main objective with the blog?

Es un poco pronto para contaros mi siguiente propuesta pero, por ahora, sólo es compartir mis pasiones.  

It’s a bit soon for me to spoil my next purpose but, for now, it surely is sharing a passion. 

  

14- ¿Qué es lo que más te molesta de mantener un blog? / What is the worst thing about having a blog?

Tiempo. Desgraciadamente necesito mucho tiempo.

  
Time. You damn need so much time. 

 

15- Dinos que es lo que más te gusta de ser blogger y alguna cosa curiosa que no sepamos de ti /
 Tell us what's the best thing about being a blogger and something curious you could tell us about you

Oh, lo mejor es que aprecien tu trabajo. Algo curioso… Cada vez que salgo a hacer fotos siempre me bebo una Tennen’s antes de hacerlas! :)

Oh, the best thing is to be aprreciated by people. Something curious..  every time I shoot I drink a Tennen’s before doing it! :)
